Dear Maxine,

I am taking the opportunity to thank you sincerely for the way you and your colleagues handled my claim for the accident in my Volkswagen EOS which was clearly my fault. It was the first time in 45 years driving that I had hit another car and I felt very stupid. When you first spoke to me you were more concerned that my wife and I were ok and not suffering any ill effects from the accident and any discussion about the vehicle was entirely secondary.

When I received correspondence suggesting that the accident was my fault and that it would not be worth defending the case in court there was no innuendo or suggestion that I was stupid and the point was made sensitively! My car was repaired to the highest standard and I received it back less than 10 days after the accident. Matthew - further to our conversation this afternoon, I´d just like to write and thank you for the way you and Abbeygate Insurance have dealt with our recent claim for damage to our property in Spain.

Can I say that the speed and professionalism that both you and your assessor Jose showed us when we phoned and when he visited was first class. From arranging the visit to being advised of our payment transfer; which more than met our expectations, took less than a week - and for that we thank you most sincerely.

I had a windscreen replaced last week and just wanted advise that I was very happy with the efficiency and helpfulness of all concerned. I wanted to write to let you know of the exemplary help your Customer Service person Ellie gave to me today.

She went far beyond the normal call of duty when I needed to satisfy my bank manger that I had paid my insurance premium with yourselves, I really am so grateful to Ellie for her expertise, patience and perseverance in helping me resolve this problem. She undoubtedly cares about her customers,and in doing a great job I want to let you know how impressed I was.

This was the first time I have had to really "prove" payment was made to the bank, they were very pedantic. Ellie attended to every request I made on the telephone and via email with speed and accuracy.

For me, it gives me confidence in insurance, over the last 35 years (since I was 17) I have paid insurance companies my annual premium and never made a claim until now. I will have absolutely no hesitation in continuing to recommend both Abbeygate and Tradewise.

I just wanted to let you know - irrespective of what the outcome of our claim is - what a fantastic service you provided my wife with today when she phoned in her first ever car accident claim.

My wife is in Mallorca as we speak. I was due to be with her there but work commitments prevented this, so I am in the UK.

After 66 years of life she today had her first ever car accident in Mallorca a few miles from where we live when we are there (CalaD'Or). There was lots of stuff going on as often happens at the scene of an accident with a local and a foreigner. When she spoke to me she was fragile and shaken. We sorted out what we needed to do and she phoned your office in Spain. Her prized BMW Z4 Roadster is a real mess apparently.

The lady who answered the phone and took her claim was superb. She did ALL the right things and focussed more on Juliet than the car "it's just a piece of metal". She was also superbly trained and is a real asset to your company. You just don't get this service these days......except from Abbeygate.

I usually spend the majority of my life complaining to my service providers - but in this instance I am delighted to say Thank you and please find out who she spoke to and commend her/promote her/thank her.

We only moved to you this year, and the decision to move to you was MY decision. I was so impressed with your team that the house insurance is now also with you.

You have already proved my decision to be right!!

Thank you very much and please identify the staff who have been involved.
